| | Interesting New Feature at Helium | | So I was on Helium just now getting URLs for my articles to post to Redgage when I noticed a new feature. At the top of the article just under the "write now" and "article tools" buttons it says "Be the first of your friends to like this," and there is a little thumbs up icon.Even if you are not on Facebook, if someone reads your article and likes it they can now share it with their friends! I had heard some people on AC had gotten a few more page views this way.I am still not planning on signing up at Facebook anytime soon but I found this new feature interesting and I wonder how many people will actually use it. | |

| Do you hate the Google "always on" feature and want to be rid of it? | | I was aggravated to start a search the other day and see an annoying side bar to the left. I tried and tried to be rid of it but no dice! Finally, after 30 minutes of looking, I found the solution on their "help" forum--it seems there are hundred of people that feel just like me! To get rid of that sidebar, go to "settings" in the right hand corner, choose "search settings" in the drop down menu and then go to "interface language". Choose "Elmer Fudd" or "Pirate". When you open Google search again, that stupid side bar on the left is gone! Hooray!![em]cheering[/em] I hope this helps someone. | |
