I don't know much about emo culture, i know some terms like hardcore punkrock, emotional hardcore they all are related in don't know whats the whole story. But yes i know about the emo styles, including tight jeans on males and females alike, long fringes, black straight hairs, tight t-shirts, studded belts, belt buckles, canvas sneakers or skate shoes or other black shoes, blabk horn- rimmed glasses. | | What is your latest money-saving idea? | | I make things to put in our church Holiday bazaar each winter. Currently I'm crocheting dog sweaters. One pattern requires two buttons.I went to buy some buttons and discovered that they averaged $1 per button! I couldn't believe it. If I spent that much on the sweaters plus the cost of the yarn they would have to be priced too high for people to buy them.So I got an idea. I went to a thrift store where they sell used clothing and looked through the racks for something with the kind of buttons I wanted. I bought a dress with six buttons for $2! And I didn't even have to worry about finding a dress in my size.[em]lol[/em]I also buy old bead necklaces there to harvest the beads. Nice beads are getting really expensive and if I can find old ones I like I can get a string of them for a $1. I've started thinking of what other craft supplies I might harvest from used items found in thrift stores. I'm thinking that belt buckles might be my next quest. So what creative ideas have you come up with to beat inflation?

| | Man Chooses Girlfriend over Elvis | | Hundreds of pieces of Elvis Presley memorabilla were auctioned off by a longtime collector trying to win back his girlfriend after she warned:"You leave the Elvis clothes or I'll leave you." the items auctioned included three Elvis concert suits, two of which sold for $125,000 and $50,000, said Alan Lipkin, senior vice president of Regency-Superior, which organized the online auction. Also sold were necklaces Elvis gave to girlfriends and friends, cufflinks he recieved from President Nixon and belt buckles he wore, Lipkin said. The seller, Jim Curtin, collected 300 cartons of Elvis memorabilia for more than 30 years and met the star several times. His unrelenting adoration eventually got the attention of Elvis, who personally presented Curtin with a white jumpsuit he wore in a Houston concert in 1974, according to the Regency web site. So why give up the lifetime collection? "He's doing this to try to win back his girlfriend," said Lipkin. | |

| | Since when is the brand name the ONLY reason to buy something? | | There's a particular brand of products that my company sells that I just don't get...
It's logo is a single letter ( that you usually wouldn't want as a test grade ) & it's emblazoned along with the companies foundation date on everything they sell. This company just loves to toot their own horn. The products themselves are cheaply made & uninteresting, their only real draw is the big freakin letter.[em]confused[/em] There's even rhinestone studded belt buckles with the logo on it.[em]glare[/em] & THEY'RE ALL WAY OVERPRICED!Am I missing something? Does anyone know why this brand is even so FAMOUS?
