| | Would you like to see westerns make a comeback? | | I love westerns. When I was young westerns were everywhere, now unless you watch a rerun your out of luck. Once in a while there will be a western movie made, but not nearly enough for me. How about you, should they bring the western back? I love a man in a cowboy hat. | |
| | | | Another dead child in the trash, another victory for the pro-abortion crowd. | | Florida Clinic Botched Abortion, Threw Out Live BabyTAMPA, Florida — Eighteen and pregnant, Sycloria Williams went to an abortion clinic outside Miami and paid $1,200 for Dr. Pierre Jean-Jacque Renelique to terminate her 23-week pregnancy.Three days later, she sat in a reclining chair, medicated to dilate her cervix and otherwise get her ready for the procedure.Only Renelique didn't arrive in time. According to Williams and the Florida Department of Health, she went into labor and delivered a live baby girl. What Williams and the Health Department say happened next has shocked people on both sides of the abortion debate: One of the clinic's owners, who has no medical license, cut the infant's umbilical cord. Williams says the woman placed the baby in a plastic biohazard bag and threw it out.BLOG: Click here to read Dr. Manny's take on this.Police recovered the decomposing remains in a cardboard box a week later after getting anonymous tips."I don't care what your politics are, what your morals are, this should not be happening in our community," said Tom Pennekamp, a Miami attorney representing Williams in her lawsuit against Renelique and the clinic... | |
| | Have you ever received the same gift from the same person year after | | year after year.
My godson's mother always gets gifts for my husband and I from our godchildren. My godson is ten, now for ten years, my husband has received the same gift of Stetson. He actually has a supply of it. He appreciates it, but it is always the same.
Do you ever receive the same gift from the same people year after year after year?

| | Ever Fall In Love With a Movie All Over Again That You Haven't Seen In Awhile? | | I have to admit...lately I haven't given myself a lot of time to watch some of my DVD movies that I have in a long, long time...heck I practically live in front of the computer now. I was watching a rather old entertainment show on TV that showed scenes of the movieNational Treasure: Book Of Secrets (a movie I haven't seen but would love to get..looks up my alley)--and they had a segment with one of the stars, Jon Voight..and for some reason that made me think of another movie he was in...Lara Croft: Tomb Raider--so turned off the tv and grabbed my DVD copy of it and watched it...and fell in love with this movie all over again....I fell in love with it the very first time I saw it, back when I had cable (no longer have it....cable that is...sniffle) I just loved the character Lara Croft's kickass attitude, her adventurous spirit, and the whole bit of archeology thing as at one time in my life I was thinking of becoming one (hence my love too for the Indiana Jones series of movies as well--heck I still have my actual Stetson Fedora hat just like his)...I don't think anyone else could have portrayed Lora Croft like Angelina... | |
| | Do You Enjoy Wearing Hats? | | I love hats. I enjoy wearing them even if nobody else is. I have several hats but none were very expensive. I would love to have a brown stetson. I have wanted one for as long as I can remember. They are so very expensive though. I have added a photo of me in a hat. Just a cheap hat but it is fun to wear.
Do you like to wear hats?
What kind do you wear?s at one time in my life I was thinking of becoming one (hence my love too for the Indiana Jones series of movies as well--heck I still have my actual Stetson Fedora hat just like his)...I don't think anyone else could have portrayed Lora Croft like Angelina Jolie --of course guys who watched this movie for her figure, and we women were a bit envious of...hey she IS gorgeous!Anyway...do you ever watch a movie you haven't seen in awhile and love it all over again? What are some of your favorite movies you love to watch that you haven't watched in awhile and remember just why you loved it in the first place?
| | Companies That Still Do Experimental Tests On Animals | | Well as you know I've been doing several discussions about animal experimentation, and one MyLotter was curious about if there was some list of which companies do test on animals for so-called cosmetic or other reasons...I came up on a few sites and I was amazed....I had been told Proctor and Gamble does for it's products, but when I looked at the list I was staggered that such companies as Arm & Hammer and Mead were listed...like WTF?? Why would Arm & Hammer test products on animals? For crying out loud, they manufacture of all things, cat litter! Isn't that a contradiction? And Mead??? As in the paper product company? Pray tell, why would they test also? Then you get to see just what products each manufacturer makes...and so many are common products I bet each one of us uses--like glad bags, toothpastes, and on and on--yeesh:On this website one can download the list as a PDF file:http://www.geari.org/companies-test-on-animals.htmlFor those who might have problems downloading the list here it is:Arm & Hammer (Church & Dwight) τBic Corporation (as in Bic Pens)Boyle-Midway (Reckitt Benckiser) Chesebrough-Ponds (Fabergé, Ponds, Vaseline), Church &... | |
